Our services in day lighting design are described in the following paragraphs. The remuneration is according to §6 HAOI96 in Germany and SIA in
Switzerland. For Austria, the remuneration guidelines for technical offices apply.
- Theoretical evaluation of the sun's path based on environmental conditions.
- Computer aided determination of punctual sunlighting considering shaded areas on the outside and inside of rooms and representation of sunlighting
during the course of days and years. Representation using sun path and time bar charts.
- Computer aided determination of different sunlighting conditions in facility-specific areas at certain times based on environmental conditions.
Representation in facade views and ground plans with project specific recommendations.
- Computer aided quantitative and qualitative registration of daylight conditions in the form of daylight quotient calculations. Thereby, the dependencies of
the geometrical dimensions of the daylight openings of the room as well as it's internal and external reflection relations and it's obstruction is considered.
Sun protection, protection against dazzle and redirection measures are not considered. Representation is in the form of diagrams and drawings.
- Determination of the optimal arrangement of daylight systems in relation to the location of a room, it's individual parts and their acting in combination
with room related system parts.
- Calculation of the intensity of light in outer areas in relation to the geographical localtion of the object for clear, covered and partly covered sky.
- Planning and development of day lighting systems in following stages:
- Exact definition of daylight systems (sun protection, protection against dazzle and redirection measures).
- Fixation of the daylight systems via exact calculations of the light-technical codes.
- Verifications of the systems with respect to their matching to certain norms.
- Dimensioning of all lighting systems (geometrical & optical).
- Representation of the design as a drawing.
- Cost calculation.
- Creation of invitation for tenders.
- Verification of directories of abilities.
Our services in the area of artificial lighting design includes everything mentioned in §73 HAOI96 (Germany), SIA (in Switzerland) or the the
Remuneration guidelines for technical offices (Austria) and consists of following phases:
- Determination of basics
- Initial draft, concept
- draft planning
- execution planning
- preparation of and taking part in the awarding
- monitoring of construction
- object documentation
Additionally we provide evaluations and analysis of workplaces with respect to:
- Adherence to workplace guidelines, DIN and european norms
- Standard-based, project-related light measurements
We are in the position to carry out standardized and project-related light measurings the:
- Measurement and documentation of intensity of light, light density and angle of reflection.
Our planning and consulting services include all kinds of artificial lighting systems for interior and exterior lighting, including accentuation and facility
protection systems.
Our services in this area include planning of light management systems for artificial lighting systems. The remuneration is according to §6 HAOI96 in Germany
and SIA in Switzerland. For Austria, the remuneration guidelines for technical offices apply. The services in detail are:
- Definition of project specific user profiles.
- Establishment of project-related light control drains.
- Establishment of project related light control sequences.
- Preparation and representation of economicalness analysis for daylight dependent control strategies and systems, partly based on home-grown
software tools.
- Translation of requirements into the most optimal light management system (e.g. LUXMATE, EIB, Helio, LON and others).
- Planning and imposition of these systems.
- Execution and observation of the programming.
The physical correct visualization of daylight and artifical light scenes in-house and outside is based on computer aided calculations using
Radiosity-Rendering-Technology. This computation intensive method delivers exact photometric simulations of diffuse light distribution.
Lighting effects like direct and indirect light, soft shadows and color reflections of different textures, thereby deliver pictures of high quality which
look very natural.
With artificial light, the real light distributions of the used devices are considered. With daylight, the different sky conditions (sunny, cloudy,
covered sky, etc.) as well as the sun's position at a certain day and at a certain geographical location is considered. This leads to a physically
correct simulations.
Services:
- Inclusion of objects from a special database of 3D objects which are perfect for architectural visualizations (cars, plants, inventory, etc.)
- Creation of a complete 3D geometry based on architectural blueprints of the facility to be visualized.
- Usage of picture database with lots of images which have been especially prepared for the use in architectural visualizations. The usage of these
images replaces objects which cannot be displayed as real 3D objects because of their level of detail. This includes people, trees and other
plants, etc. The perspective and shadow cast is manually corrected in each picture.
- Visualization of the refraction of light by conversion of lights - light distributions, creation of 3D lighting geometries as well as import and assignment of
LVK data to the 3D model and the lighting bodies.
- Optimization of the model for calculation using the radiosity method. Improvement of the light distribution, planes and textures.
- Images - Creation of single images by taking over data from the 3D model, determination of the lighting conditions, selection of the camera
view and settings as well as rendering of the picture.
- Creation of video animation (like dolly drives) by determination of the camera path, the timing and possible animation of moving objects
(doors, cars, etc.). Output in VHS or Super VHS format.
For the production using other norms (like Digital Beta) the frames per second can be provided on mediums like CD-ROM after negotiation.
This is also possible in the case of multimedia productions.
- Creation of video animations in AVI and Quicktime format for interactive presentations on a PC or Macintosh.
- Creations of broadcasting-quality video animations in Beta standard or picture plates in high quality.
- Creation of video animations on DVD with interactive menus which can be used for presentations or advertising.
- Video editing using all kinds of special effects (blending, effect-blending, titles, etc.) as well as sound-setting (sounds have to be provided on CD)
- Individual design of video envelops using pictures from the video, logos, fonts, etc. which are provided.
- Creation of print outs on standard and special papers (e.g. glossy photo paper, canvas, etc.) in several sizes (also laminated and over-sized, e.g. 2,80m x
4m) using latest printing technology.
- Creation of backups for later changes and additions as well as archiving.
